Call for Abstract and Participation: PhD Forum

The Fourth ACM/IEEE International Conference on Distributed Smart Cameras (ICDSC 2010) draws upon many disciplines including smart camera design and network architectures, visual sensor networks, distributed computer vision and fusion, and emerging applications and case studies. In addition to full-length technical papers, ICDSC is organzing a PhD Forum held in the form of a poster session preceded by a short oral presentation of the work (3 slides), and a panel discussion with experts on the potential research and application development topics.

PhD students can present and discuss their work with researchers in the field and receive valuable feedback, while conference participants can learn about interesting academic work in progress. The forum also includes a panel discussion in which participants can hear from experts in the related fields about the upcoming research and application development opportunities.

Participation in the forum is competitive and selection will be made based on a submitted abstract. All submitted abstracts will undergo a review process. Decisions will be made based on technical merit and innovation as well as their potential to stimulate interesting discussions and exchange of ideas at the conference. Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceeding and catalogued at IEEEXplore.

Submission Instructions for Abstracts:

Interested students are encouraged to submit a two-page extended abstract in PDF format that follows the ICDSC regular-paper formatting guidelines through the EasyChair paper submission site. Please refer to the ICDSC regular-paper submission instructions for details.

  • Notification of acceptance: June 30, 2010
